| Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan may not see eye to eye after their famous spat in 2008. However, it seems the women in the Khan household are not affected by the rivalry. A few days ago, Bollywood watchers were shocked to see Shah Rukh’s wife Gauri walk into a party thrown by Salman’s family. The ocassion was the birthday of Seema Khan, Salman’s brother Sohail’s wife. The party was a very private affair where only Salman, Arbaaz, Malaika, Seema, Sohail, Arpita and their parents were present along with a few close friends. No wonder that eyebrows were raised when Gauri walked in and started chatting amicably with the Khans.
Reports say that Gauri had been invited by Seema who has been a good friend of hers for many years. Shah Rukh’s missus also used the opportunity to break the ice with Salman who, in turn, was very cordial with her and ensured that she was well taken care of at the party. The other surprise names at the do was Shah Rukh’s buddy Arjun Rampal and his wife Mehr who gave company to Gauri. Over the last few years, despite her husband’s animosity with Salman, Gauri has maintained her friendship with the women in the latter’s house namely Malaika, Seema and Amrita. Ironically, SRK is now shooting in London for his upcoming movie with Salman’s ex girlfriend Katrina. There are also whispers that this was perhaps Gauri’s act of defiance to her husband whose close friendship with Priyanka Chopra has rumouredly caused her distress.
Whatever be the reason will this party be the beginning of the end of the Salman-Shah Rukh rivalry? Fans of both the Khans will certainly hope so! |
