It’s always a highlight of the Cannes Film Festival, and last night’s amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Charity Auction featured a trip to outer space with Leonardo DiCaprio. According to a report, the “Catch Me If You Can” star offered his companion seat to the highest bidder, scoring a top offer of $1.5 million. Meanwhile, Sharon Stone also put two seats on the Virgin Galactic on the block, bringing in $2.3 million from the folks gathered at the Hotel du Cap-Eden Roc. The lucky winners will spend three days with Leo in a training program before hopping in one of Sir Richard Branson’s new space crafts and heading out into space!

In the latest episode of Unscripted, the “Fast & Furious 6″ stars talk about their wild night at a real-life illegal street race, what “Fast” characters are the most badass, and how many more films are left in the action franchise’s future. In the latest adrenaline-pumping “Fast” installment, Agent Hobbs (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) enlists Dom (Diesel) and his team to bring a rival gang, led by Owen Shaw (Luke Evans), to justice in exchange for a clean criminal record. Hoping her return to music will land her a nomination next year, Selena Gomez arrived at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday (May 19). Oh no! After Chris Brown did it, could Selena be the second celebrity in a week to announce a breakup during a radio interview? Talking to Boston’s Kiss 108 the singer confirmed that she was available in every single way. So what about Justin Bieber?

Well this came out of nowhere! Selena Gomez sat down for a fun interview with Kiss 108 on Friday morning, May 10, and seemingly squashed the idea that she had reunited with Justin Bieber by admitted that she was available.

Scoring yet another major magazine cover, Kate Upton showed off her voluptuous frame for the June 2013 issue of US Vogue. Oozing confidence in beachwear and sexy designer duds, the 20-year-old bombshell posed for the Mario Testino front page shot while slamming her critics and revealing her plans for the future.

On critics attacking her figure:
“The things that they reject are things that I can’t change. I can’t change my bra size. They’re natural! I can work out and I can stay healthy and motivated, but I can’t change some things. I really just live my life. I love my body. It’s what God gave me! I feel confident with myself, and if that inspires other women to feel confident with their bodies, great.”

On separating herself from other models:
“Growing up, I didn’t buy the magazines that had models on the covers, because I didn’t know them. So I think it kind of gives me, as a model, a personality that people can connect with.”

On plans for the future:
“I feel like I trust my career path. I would love to have my own lingerie line. Acting I’m very interested in. I’m American—more is more!”

“Star Trek Into Darkness” roared out of the gate at the international box office, taking in $31.7 million from just seven targeted markets, ahead of its U.S. debut this week. Maximizing the foreign box office is a top priority for distributor Paramount and partner Skydance Productions, because the ‘Star Trek” films have traditionally not performed well abroad. “Into Darkness” opens domestically on 336 Imax locations on Wednesday, and wide on Thursday in the U.S. “Into Darkness” took in $13.3 million in the U.K. over the weekend, 50 percent better than the opening weekend of “Star Trek” in 2009. It easily outstripped the previous film in Germany ($7.6 million), Australia ($5.5 million) and Mexico ($3 million), too. The markets in which “Into Darkness” opened were the seven regions in “Star Trek” performed most strongly. Prior to rolling out the film overseas, the studio intensively polled international audiences to get a handle on what they liked and didn’t about the franchise.

Gatsby looks almost as great as a superhero at the weekend box office.

Leonard DiCaprio’s “The Great Gatsby” partied like it was the Roaring Twenties with a $51.1 million debut that made it a surprisingly strong runner-up to comic-book blockbuster “Iron Man 3.” Studio estimates Sunday put “Gatsby” at No. 2 behind Robert Downey Jr.’s superhero sequel, which pulled in $72.5 million domestically to raise its total to $284.9 million after just 10 days in U.S. theaters. With an additional $89.3 million in its third weekend overseas, “Iron Man 3″ lifted its international total to $664.1 million and its worldwide haul to $949 million. “The Great Gatsby” far exceeded industry expectations, which had pegged its opening weekend as low as $30 million.

It won’t be long before Selena Gomez drops her new music video for “Come & Get It” and MTV has just unveiled a new teaser for the clip. The “Wizards of Waverly Place” hottie will be featured in “MTV First: Selena Gomez” on Tuesday, May 7th, during which the much-anticipated video will premiere.

Back in January, Gomez explained, “I think for me it was actually interesting to see that towards the middle of me recording my record, a big turn happened to me and it was incredible to see how I applied that to music because I’ve never done that before and it’s great.” “I think the older I’m getting, the more I’m just kind of like I’m cool to share my side of the stories as much as I can, so I’m having a lot of fun.”

As if there relationship wasn’t hard enough to keep up with already, Rihanna is adding more fire to the rumor mill regarding her on-off love life with Chris Brown. On Sunday (April 28), Justin LaBoy posted three photos to his Instagram page of himself and the “Diamonds” songstress, including two photos of them each giving the other a kiss on the cheek.

LaBoy captioned one of the photos, “Me and the wife @Rihanna out here tonight,” leaving many to wonder if RiRi and Brown were on the outs.

Amid the photo scandal, Brown has been posting some of his own unusual messages to his Twitter page, including, “S-t is overrated now a days,” also adding, “Just remember to keep ya muthaf-kin head up.”

As for now, it looks like the “Kiss Kiss” singer has unfollowed Rihanna on Twitter, and has since decided to once again follow his ex, Karrueche Tran.

Iron Man has accomplished something not even the entire “Avengers” lineup could – a $195 million opening weekend overseas. Indeed, “Iron Man 3″ grossed just that amount ($195.3 million, to be exact) in its international rollout over the weekend, nearly matching its reported $200 million budget before even hitting the domestic marketplace. That’s a bigger opening than last year’s “The Avengers,” which launched to a measly $185.1 million in its debut weekend overseas, albeit in three fewer markets (“Iron Man 3″ hit 42 territories in its first weekend while “The Avengers” opened in 39). Still, it’s an impressive debut by any measure, and the film broke records in several territories, including:

- Biggest opening weekend ever in: Argentina, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore

- Biggest Marvel opening weekend in: Australia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, Finland, Hungary, Romania, New Zealand, Argentina, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Philippines and Malaysia

Selena shared, “I was so nervous. Like that stresses me out, but it was fine. I actually had fun and I got to meet Brad Pitt, so . . .”

“Yeah, so I was in my dressing room and I had just finished performing. They knocked on my door and they said Brad Pitt would like to come in and I was like, ‘He can come in.’ I was trying to play cool and be really nice.”

Gomez gushed, “As soon as he walked out I ran and I hide under the craft service table for like two minutes because I couldn’t believe it was happening… He was like, ‘Can I have a picture with you?’ I was like, ‘Can I have a picture with you?’”

Selena also noted that since splitting from Justin Bieber she’s doing well and looking for her next main squeeze- “Someone that can make me laugh… [Someone who is] great to my parents. I feel like I’m doing my eHarmony profile.”

Robert shared, “It got me thinking about how big the message from your cosmic sponsor needs to be before you pick it up.”

“How many genre movies can I do? How many follow-ups to a successful follow-up are actually fun? I come from a family of very innovative writers and directors and actors and artists, and the circle of friends they were in were the people I heard having pun-offs playing poker at two in the morning, and it was just the most comforting aspect of my childhood. So there’s this kind of legacy of souls from what I consider to be a very particular time in entertainment, and I’m sensing a return to that.”

Not Breaking News: LiLo needs some major structure and psychiatric help in her life. If it weren’t for her mandated court date, she’d barely even know what day it is. While the sentencing may look like an easy break on paper for the routinely and notoriously undisciplined actress, it might be exactly what she needs to—prepare to sigh and sigh loudly—get her act together once and for all. According to treatment experts, as much as society’s collective Schadenfreude wishes, jail isn’t the ultimate solution for addicts, celebrity or not.

Is the 90 days of rehab + 30 days of community service + 180 days in psychiatric therapy = the equation to solve her problems? Let’s hope so. For her sake.

That same day, the 19-year-old pop star used the power of social media to address the many rumors that have come up recently. The fed-up teen began with the statement, “Everyone in my team has been telling me, ‘keep the press happy’ but I’m tired of all the countless lies in the press right now.”

Director Baz Luhrmann told press he can’t wait to show off his latest flick- “I am very proud to return to a country and a festival that has always been generous with me.” “And [I’m] happy to see this film screened at Cannes, not far from Saint-Raphaël, where Scott Fitzgerald wrote one of the most poignant passages and most moving of his extraordinary novel.”

Leno also brought up Halle’s gorgeous Oscar dress from last month. Halle explained, “I wanted to go to the Oscars looking like a Bond girl. I felt like I was wearing a Ferrari.” Pushing the flirtation even farther, Jay shot back, “I enjoy driving a Ferrari. Can you drive a stick shift?” Berry replied, “I learned on a stick shift.”

Halle also confirmed that she’ll be returning for the next “X-Men” flick as Storm. “I don’t think I’ve really said it before… It’s a great role, and those residual checks don’t hurt! It’s a character I love…and I’d love to get back with Hugh [Jackman] and everybody.”
