D.L. Hughley says he has COVID-19 after collapsing during comedy show

“He is awake and feeling better, and wishes to thank everyone for the very kind prayers and thoughts,” a representative for the comedian said. Actor and comedian D. L. Hughley said Saturday he tested positive for the coronavirus after collapsing during a show the previous night in Nashville.

Hughley, 57, said he learned he was infected when he was was hospitalized Friday for exhaustion and dehydration after the fall and underwent a battery of tests. “I also tested positive for COVID-19, which blew me away,” he said in a video posted to Twitter. “I didn’t have any symptoms.”
